WE ARE SHE She thinks that however far people travel, and whatever they learn, they will always return to the roots of their culture and background. She knows that she has things her Mother never had, education, financial independence, choices. She likes being in charge and being bossy She hates men telling her what to do. She likes expressing herself She used to be able to do cartwheels She likes to wish that she will never have to tidy up She likes to do the washing up with the TV switched on She hates washing clothes, she likes cooking. She thinks nothing has really changed for women. She thinks that her status used to lie in keeping a good house. Now status lies in possessions. She thinks you can be a working lady, and you can be a good housewife. You can be both. She wants men and women to be treated equally. She wants loads of make-up, loads of clothes and shoes, diamond rings and her own private plane. She hates tidying up She appreciates her friends She loves to visit her Nana
